Remove all components of the NET framework and set up just the one required for Tomb Raider. The installation file must be placed in the game's folder.

The .NET framework isn't directly related to uninstalling programs in a control panel or the Tomb Raider game folder. It's likely you're asking about something else.

I usually start by removing all programs from the control panel, then move to the Tomb Raider game folder and install again. I faced a similar issue before with Tomb Raider as well; I just reinstalled C++ Visual and the NET framework.

Only one .net framework appears in the control panel, specifically Microsoft .net framework 4.6.1

But I use many visual C++ files, aren't they essential for running my other games?

Hello to everyone. I discovered a solution for my problem with Tomb Raider 2013 not launching properly after clicking play from the pop-up menu. It seems there haven't been any recent updates for multi-core CPUs yet, as mentioned by another user on Steam. If your system has more than 8 cores, you might face this issue. To fix it, open Task Manager, right-click Steam.exe and select Set Affinity from the dropdown. Uncheck all CPU core processors except for the first three, then click OK. Running the game should start immediately. Thank you for your interest and assistance.
