It's interesting that I returned my mainboard to Mindfactory, only to find out later that they sent it to Gigabyte and I now have to wait another month.

In theory, X470 and B450 weren't meant to work smoothly with Ryzen 1xxx CPUs; AMD mentioned this during the release of the 3xxx series. A more reliable option might be to look for a board using a 3xx-series chipset, at least temporarily or until you upgrade to a better CPU.

I might consider replacing my Ryzen with a 7 2700X, retaining the 7 1800X, or constructing an alternative system around it.
