I also attempted, but it turned out to be choppy too... It seems it works similarly to Bandicam or Fraps?

There seems to be a couple of concerns: 1. Can the output file format be altered, currently it's .flv? 2. It likely relates to the settings, but once OBS is enabled the frame rate drops significantly—from around 110 to just 60.

Have you tried using a different codec? Check if your graphics card is Nvidia or AMD.

I have three video codec choices: H.264, Quick sync, and Nvidia NVENC. I attempted recording recently, and the output shows smooth 60FPS video, though there are noticeable stutters. I managed to convert it to MP4 successfully.
