I figured that out, but just to be sure... the lag was caused by H.264 being handled by the CPU. I looked around and installed OBS with an AMD library, which actually moved the processing to the GPU. I tried recording some gameplay and uploaded it—still unsure if it worked well.

That's helpful too. You might also want to look up "obs best settings local recording" on Google for better quality gameplay recordings.

OBS didn't log any dropped frames, though I did observe a slight microstutter in certain areas.

Microstutter happens occasionally due to optimization limits. You won’t lose frames unless streaming live. It appears fine to me.

Opt for the updated Open Broadcaster Studio instead of the older version. It includes all the AMD components and performs significantly better (as experienced personally).
