Reviewing all options, the Arris appears to offer the superior specifications. While the Motorola looks much more appealing, I think the SB8200’s bright white and vibrant design makes it the better choice between the two.

I'm testing the SB8200 on a 100/10 setup. Latency problems arose before securing a fan to the modem's side. Heat might be part of the issue, so ensuring strong airflow is important. If wiring a PC fan via USB still causes trouble, it shouldn't be too hard.
