Current restrictions might be uncertain. I usually disable power caps in my BIOS, but I’m sure your setup is different. You seem to have solid cooling. Which motherboard are you using?

It seems this setup is quite simple. The circuit may have trouble running the 9900K chip. Using under-voltage would be better, and I wouldn’t attempt to adjust the settings.

For the i9 9900k, consider a stable platform like an ASUS ROG Strix Z690 or MSI MEG to ensure reliability. For overclocking potential, look into a mid-range motherboard such as ASRock Z590 or B550 with solid cooling support.

I wouldn't invest in upgrading your motherboard. The performance gains wouldn't justify the cost. However, the Z390 board I suggest is the Gigabyte Aorus Elite. Excellent VRM for its price. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GPdxFT/...orus-elite

I was planning to purchase that model about 1.5 years ago, but I went with this instead... maybe because I was eager. How much improvement can you expect from the 5.2ghz OC for gaming?

It only reaches 5.2Ghz with four or fewer cores in use, which isn't very frequent. My browser tabs open quickly, though. My all-core setup is 5Ghz, and the calculation shows a 6.4% boost. That, combined with my RAM tuning and timing adjustments, likely gives me 5-10% better performance compared to a stock 9900K running at XMP 3200Mhz. It's not huge, but it's satisfying. I find it enjoyable as a hobby, so it's worth the effort.

The 10 percent discount on $160 feels reasonable, especially when aiming for over 60fps in dense urban settings with heavy fog and ray tracing. It really stands out in those conditions. As for the H100i's ability to handle such heat, it should be capable.

10% CPU performance, not frame rate. And that is with my RAM. And also an estimate. I stand by my advice that $160 will not be worth it. Especially since there is no upgrade path on Z390. But you are free to do whatever you like. Edit: It already seems to be nearing it's limit. IME with my 9900K the distance from 80C to 100C is very short, in terms of overclocking.

It seems you're trying to bypass a high-cost CDN service by using a specific GPU setup, but you're facing performance issues with your graphics card.
