Throttling occurs at 75°C on Intel Pentium N3540 CPU
The computer was limiting performance at 75°C, then after disabling speedstep it reached 90°C before settling at 0.5GHz, causing lag when playing games. Turning speedstep back improved stability but increased CPU usage.
Open the device manager, search for "Intel Thermal Framework Processor Participant Driver," and remove it. Adjust power and current limits to 99999 in throttle stop. Effect will happen right away without needing restarts, but Windows tends to reinstall that bothersome driver each time you restart, so you'll need to uninstall it regularly.
It previously limited speed at 105°C, then suddenly dropped to 75°C unexpectedly
