I have no issues with it. Most UBI games perform perfectly on my setup, which is why I appreciate their smooth operation
It's frustrating needing to run this, but at least it doesn't create any problems.
It's frustrating for some players because they receive frequent updates for games they haven't played in a while, like Splinter Cell: Blacklist. They often had to download multiple separate patches. When multiplayer didn't work after launching the game, they had to install additional updates multiple times. Backing up game files is important, but UPlay doesn't recognize installed copies, making it hard to move games to another drive. Using Origin seems more reliable unless you prefer redownloading. Ubisoft recommended backing up installers before installation, but overall UPlay isn't a solid solution.
Uplay is the worst thing I've ever experienced. It needs to be destroyed. Steam > (super far away) Origin > (a long time ago) Uplay
Same as the original, it's not bad—it's just another program with an open, up-to-date account, another account, etc.
It's frustrating needing a second launcher for a few games, but it's not too bad. With perks like achievement points that can be used to purchase items, it feels better than other options. Steam stands out mainly because of its vast collection and the fact that many of my friends already use it.
