Absolutely, I agree. AMD could improve their recording software even though they produce strong GPUs.

They resemble each other quite a bit, but Dxtory seems to offer a marginally higher bitrate. However, the files will become around 15 times larger, resulting in a significant performance boost of 20-60% instead of the usual 1-5%. This could be really damaging in games that heavily rely on CPU power. Still, I believe Dxtory is essentially useless now that Shadowplay is gone.

Shadowplay disappeared? You're asking about it. And I'm using AMD graphics cards, not NVIDIA ones.

After shadowplay launched, they released another version too. It seems to use h.264 recording straight on the GPU, similar to what shadowplay does. It’s hard to tell if it’ll be any better.
