the windows task manager shows just 4.57, while most others mention around 4.8, but it's difficult to see clearly since it doesn't stay visible for anyone.

I also want to note that my computer only stops working when the temperature reaches 80c, and this article is mainly about whether I should continue using it or switch to a better cooler, or if I should lock the frequency and rely on my existing cooler, which I don’t even know if it’s as effective as the one rated for 135w (stock). The main problem is maintaining stability at high temps.

During that boost setting, you should have at least a Noctua D15 or a 240mm or larger AIO or a custom loop running. Likely, the VRMs are reaching their temperature limits rather than the CPU.

I might be running a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, which I already have on another machine. It's installed on an FX-8370e with 5.2 GHz.

Or that. I would certainly enter the BIOS and turn off any kind of boost or PBO/XFR settings.

i'm planning to use an nh-d15 and also get the ryzen 9 3900x, until then i'll turn off the xfr2.
