It's the first step I take when facing issues, and it often resolves many problems. Reinstalling the latest driver is what I usually do.

When the 1080 Founders Edition was released, Nvidia highlighted its performance at 67 degrees during its peak overclock of 2050MHz. However, subsequent reviews revealed that the 1080 FE cooler struggled to maintain that temperature, leading to thermal throttling. It was discovered that running the fan at full speed achieved a temperature close to 67°C, producing a loud fan noise reminiscent of a jet engine—similar to what one might hear from the HD 6990. While this situation seemed exaggerated, Nvidia avoided introducing a newer model that would have been even less efficient than its predecessor, as some critics pointed out.

I thought my old 970 was a bit noisy, but you're right—it's even worse. It was a joke. Nobody cares about GPU fans running at full speed just to show high temps while hurting your ears.

I just installed the latest version of Nvidia GeForce Experience. The interface looks different, shadow effects changed, and the menus are now distinct. However, that doesn't affect my performance. When I attempt to record games, my frames instantly drop to 30fps and remain there. Even though I set up 1080p at 60fps, I still experience this issue. I can play games smoothly above 60fps, but recording at 720p still causes me to fall back to 30fps. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?
