I own a GTX 950. When I first set up my rig in June 2016, I installed all the drivers from GeForce Experience. I managed to play games and record without issues. Recently, the latest update released and I’ve faced several issues. Problem 1: Launching a game causes my whole system to slow down, with NVIDIA elements appearing (FPS counter, "press alt-z to record"). I realize it’s not my computer’s weakness since I could run those games before. Problem 2: While playing, pressing alt-z or the record button drops my game instantly to 29 FPS (from 300 FPS). Even on menu screens it stays at 29 FPS. Problem 3: After recording, my screen flickers and freezes like an old monitor, even when using Chrome. I found this was due to "Nvidia share" – closing it in Task Manager resolves the issue. Restarting the PC didn’t help. All drivers are up to date. I’m unsure what’s causing the problem and any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

No adjustments are configured for 60fps. Performance issues appear even without recording, especially after opening the app once. Update: Screen lag was noticeable when not playing; disabling "instant replay" helped temporarily. Still no improvement in-game.

I aim to stay neutral while sharing my perspective. Nvidia struggles with delivering good value. They often charge premium prices for features like SLI and Gsync, around $30 and $200 respectively. Their older hardware tends to lose performance quickly, raising concerns about planned obsolescence. In other areas, their work is average—like the founders edition or the 1080 overclocking claim. Their drivers are also not very reliable. If you need recording capabilities, OBS is a better choice. When installing drivers, use version 362.00 for the GTX 950; avoid 3DVision as it can interfere with drivers and isn’t necessary.

I've tried OBS and Nvidia Share (the updated ShadowPlay)... Share uses far fewer resources than OBS in my tests. Have you just installed a new version of the GPU driver? I suggest removing and reinstalling it completely. In the Nvidia Control Panel, adjust the power settings to prioritize performance and ensure PhysX is configured to use your GPU after each driver update.

I relied heavily on shadowplay, and it functioned well. The Geforce 3 update, however, didn't perform as expected. The overlays operate correctly, but when I press the buttons to capture the final moments or record future events, it reports success despite not doing so. This is quite frustrating. I’m hoping for a solution soon, since this isn’t a common issue I’ve seen online.

I think the 30 fps connection comes from how Windows 10 handles recording, especially with the Xbox app.

This refers to a specific setting or measurement related to a display or camera, where 1080 resolution is used at a viewing angle of 67 degrees. It’s likely about optimizing image quality for that particular configuration.

It's odd I don't face any issues. Probably a matter of Vidia's responsibility.
