This new AM5 PC setup isn't turning on properly and is acting oddly.
I just completed a PC build. No signal was detected from the display, and it switches between CPU and DRAM indicators (gigabyte motherboard). I can’t power it off, hold the case button down, and the RST_SW remains pressed. Testing with a screwdriver didn’t help. The BIOS was flashed three times but errors persisted. I’ve shut it down using the PSU switch, and tried swapping RAM. Noted: RGB flashes briefly for about half a second when powering up, then fades while fans run. Anyone have ideas? Initial thought is RAM problem, consider using just one stick or a different RAM type if available
Gigabyte is what? They don’t burn like Asus did, so OP should consider trying another RAM brand or model.
Never experienced problems with a Gigabyte board... and all vendors are now unreliable
I'm uncertain about the next steps—I think there might be an issue with the CPU, RAM, or motherboard. The system took 20 minutes to start up, which isn't related to memory issues.
