Check the specs to see if the B760 Pro RS can support your needs. It features 10+1+1 power phases and 50A DR.MOS, which should handle demanding workloads smoothly without throttling. Your current setup with high power phases and strong DR.MOS should work well.
I'm reaching out because my i5-14500 shows micro stuttering in games. I suspect it might not be related to RAM, as tests in MemTest86 and AIDA found no issues. I've also tried re-seating it in different slots. Would switching to a 13600k be a good option?
GPU: RTX 4060 CPU: I5-14500 MB: ASRock B760 Pro RS (with BIOS v.11.01) RAM: 32GB Kingston Fury DDR5-5600 (4800) SSD: Samsung 990 Evo 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4/5.0 x2 (latest firmware) Power Supply: Seasonic B12-BC-650W
It might stem from RAM issues like latency affecting performance. Stuttering can occur with RAM problems but isn't guaranteed in every game.
CL: 38-38-38-70 It's happening unpredictably (tiny stutters, seems like a delay of 1-2 frames), similar to what you see in Afterburner as a drop from 240fps to 18fps. In most games: Hell Let Loose, eFootball, Terraria, THE FINALS, Minecraft, Wreckfest, Batman Arkham Origins.
I can verify that’s not thermal throttling since temperatures stay within a reasonable range. I have 20 threads running on my CPU, and the clock speeds typically sit between 4.3-4.5ghz, which seems fine if some threads adjust the clocks while others are active. I’ve included the HWINFO screenshots from the Cinebench tests, plus one from AIDA64 after the RAM testing. Also, all drivers are current.
