People, I'm limited to +0.300v on the motherboard. That restricts my CPU to no more than 3.9Ghz. Why is this happening? I have a 300w water cooling setup from Deepcool and I can definitely overclock it. Can I disable that anti-auto protection feature?
I'm sorry, I don't remember the CPU model. Could you provide more details?
What are your complete specifications? Regarding the .3V limit, do you mean it prevents you from overclocking or it’s just a stability concern? Also, since you haven’t tried overclocking a Ryzen CPU yet, a .3V boost feels excessive.
I didn't notice that. I observed users using overclocked Ryzen 7 2700 chips up to 4.7Ghz. Not X version. The optimal setting is around +0.3v for 3.9Ghz. The processor runs smoothly.
Which motherboard are you running? Which processor are you utilizing? Are you adjusting your CPU settings directly via the BIOS or employing software tools within the Windows operating system?
The BIOS is displaying the core voltage as approximately 1.65V with the +0.300V adjustment. This represents a significant increase from the baseline of 1.35V. The current BIOS version on your board needs checking—older versions might require an update.
Consider adjusting your CPU overclocking approach when starting with a +0.3V initial setting.
I was attempting something modest. At +0.250 it triggered a crash.
