Reporting back: Trfc operates at 550 works at 2400Mhz, but fails at 2666Mhz. Attempted voltage adjustment to 1.41 failed. SOC reached 1.1 without success. Disabled gear and power. 1.45 DRAM voltage also rejected in this configuration. I managed to raise the failure rate, but the system still boots and powers off within seconds three times.
We were still discussing nearly tripling your FPS because of the RAM, unless your memory package is fundamentally flawed I don’t see how this could happen just from slower RAM. The FPS changes for various RAM rates should be around a 5% difference in either direction rather than completely doubling or halving it. Therefore I remain fairly sure the problem lies elsewhere. Do you have any other memory modules to evaluate? If not, would using just one stick give you any benefit? (Test both sticks separately so you can confirm if one is the culprit) Also use compressed air to clear dust from your DIMM slots and RAM modules, and make sure your motherboard doesn’t favor a specific DIMM slot—like my setup requires RAM in slots 2 and 4 for DOCP, so placing yours in slots 1 and 3 will prevent it from working properly.
I'm switching to a different set of sticks now. I moved from the C18 to the C16 version of the TridentZ Neo 3600Mhz. Both are not handling POST above 2400Mhz well. I think I'm already using the recommended DIMM slots—sticks 2 and 4 on the X570-E according to the manual. They might be labeled differently, but a PC is running fine with one stick. I plan to compare performance later. Also, the cooling issue I had before with the original cooler only worked with one stick.
