The videos aren't playing smoothly, and it seems like the issue might be with the hardware. The game runs well at 60fps in high to ultra settings when hair effects are disabled. You weren't expecting a problem with frame rate or performance, especially since the playback felt choppy. It's worth giving it another shot. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I didn't mean to imply anything about your equipment.

It's 2015, and things still feel pretty average. Probably not the worst humans have ever made, but maybe a fix is possible. Most folks seem to handle it without too much trouble.

Yeah trust me, once you set the cut scenes to 60 it will be like butter You want to got o documents/ the Witcher 3/ user.settings and change movie frame rate to 60 It seems to be the norm now that games use 30 fps cut scenes, but at least the Witcher 3 makes it easy to change that. If you are running the game at a solid 60 fps and then a 30 fps cut scene pops up, it's going to look a mess.

I finally had a chance to test this last night. The opening visuals felt much better, running steadily at 60 frames per second. I haven’t made much progress in the game yet—I’m still stuck on Lilac and Gooseberries. However, I’ve spent over four hours exploring. Whenever I save a game, there’s always a cut scene that plays at 30 fps. FRAPS kept it at a steady 33 fps during those moments. It’s a bit frustrating.
