They mentioned only the initial episode out of five could take about 15 to 20 hours!
I believe they mentioned it, yet if it’s accurate, I’m left questioning what we’d be doing constantly.
It's accurate, though. A well-crafted game with a compelling narrative typically takes around 15-20 hours to complete. If it feels rushed to under 10 hours, it might prioritize quick play over deep storytelling—though few manage more than 60 hours without excessive filler. There are a couple of exceptions, but it's hard to predict. It seems they might be planning a HL2-style launch: a major story-driven experience at the beginning followed by smaller episodes afterward. I doubt they’ve hinted at a long episodic structure beyond the first few.
I don't feel the same way either; I’m confident it will be well thought out and organized. No matter what comes, I’m certain it will take up a significant portion of my time. On another note, I recently learned more about SQ42 and noticed that the game offers varied missions depending on your success or failure. This is intriguing since the storyline can change for each player.
Sure, I'm excited about the replay options and the premium features—though it might turn into a long session! I can't wait to spend more time.
I recognize the sub-forum I belong to, but I’ll still ask you the same thing—Which game? Star Citizen isn’t a game anymore. What you’re receiving isn’t a ship, it’s funding an incomplete crowd-finding initiative. It’s a contribution. The ship and alpha access you get are just perks as appreciation for your support. The amount of these perks changes based on the donation size. After the game launches, if it doesn’t match what we promised when we gave our support, then there will be reasons to voice concerns.
