Bitlocker alters everything completely.
If you can't get it open, then the data won't be salvageable.
Wipe your SSD and reinstall Windows or restore from a backup. But I think - you likely haven't created any backups yet.
And avoid Bitlocker next time.

I don't need to reinstall windows since I have crucial files on the C drive that I can't risk losing. What options do you have?

The price for BitLocker isn't the only factor here. You need to remove the encryption first. But since you can't unlock it anymore (likely due to file system issues), you won't be able to access your encrypted files. It's similar to placing important items in a safe and then breaking the lock—now the lock won't fit at all.
