yes bios recognizes my ssd. it's a new device, only been used for a few months, so there are no issues with it. the command doesn't identify it, and when i select list vol, just the pen drive appears, not the ssd. saving as a file in notepad also shows only the pen drive. after checking many sources, i found that my laptop has secure boot turned on, which blocks unauthorized access to the ssd. could this be the reason it wasn't detected?

Does the DiskPart/list disk command display your SSD? Can you provide a screenshot of the requested output? If the BIOS lists the drive and the command appears, it doesn't, then generate a fresh Windows installation media with the newest version. Your current media might be outdated. Disable Secure Boot and observe if there are any changes.

Thank you for your response.
Status update: Secure boot was turned off in BIOS.
Diskpart confirmed listing of the SSD.
Also verified using notepad.exe after saving as—now the SSD is visible.

The command shown is from Windows built-in advanced options, not from a USB installation media.

You're missing the results for list disk and list partition. Only the USB drive is displayed. It seems your storage device isn't being recognized or has no data—no partitions found.

the disk and partition lists display just my usb drive, not the ssd. however, when i enter identical commands in the advanced boot options cmd, i can view the ssd partitions. i've already demonstrated this in a previous screenshot.

Execute the commands from advanced boot options and display the results.
The installed Windows media might be old and lacks required storage drivers, which is why some drives aren't visible. You'll need to generate a fresh Windows installation media using the latest installer version.

The image displays list disk and list partition commands.
This shows the commands for advanced boot options.
I ran those commands in advanced boot settings and got the expected results, with all partitions and volumes listed (as shown in my first screenshot).
However, I’m facing a problem now. I can’t access advanced boot options at the moment. Until afternoon, I managed to reach them. Now the PC boots straight into the BitLocker recovery window, regardless of whether I enter the key or not—I’m stuck with no choice but to shut it down. I’ve tried several times, but I still can’t get to advanced boot options.
I have some experience with BSOD errors and have used advanced boot options or installation media before. But this one is frustrating. The main difference seems to be the BitLocker encryption. On other PCs, there was no BitLocker feature; I could access the OS drive from the installation media, unlike this one. This particular model is an Asus TUF Gaming 15 with BitLocker enabled. I’ve even turned off the Secure Boot option in BIOS, but it didn’t help. Every time I power on my machine, right after the Asus logo, it immediately jumps to the BitLocker recovery window and keeps failing to start, which is really annoying and wastes a lot of time.
