Motherboard lights up when power is applied, but fans remain off and nothing responds. No reaction to pressing the power button. Steps tried so far: - Verified PSU is on and connected - All cables securely fastened to PSU - Headers firmly attached to motherboard - RAM placed in correct slots Troubleshooting steps: - Delayed boot after power-on (typical for 7-series) - Successfully updated BIOS via latest support page (v1616) - Disconnected CMOS and cleared it - Tried manual power-on by bypassing the power switch on motherboard edit* - Booted using integrated GPU (no dedicated GPU) - Used one RAM stick at a time - Switched PSU What comes next: - Replace RAM in correct slots - Remove motherboard from case to test boot - Inspect air cooler and CPU pins

It seems the problem lies on the 12V rail that powers the fans. The motherboard's RGB typically runs at 5V, so are the 12V EPS "CPU" connectors located at the upper left side of the board? (You only need one 8-pin connector.) Try taking out the graphics card and see if the system boots using the built-in CPU GPU. If you successfully updated the BIOS, the board functioned at least once. You've completed most of the basic checks. Before swapping parts, consider testing with just one RAM stick installed—no fans suggest a power supply issue or a faulty motherboard.

Thank you for your message. I verified the CPU connector by disconnecting and reconnecting both ends. I also installed the 4-pin connector for extra safety. No progress observed when booting without the GPU or with only one RAM slot (position A2 as per the manual). I’ll attempt to uninstall the PSU and let you know the outcome. Appreciate your patience, Andreas.

This setup isn't ideal as it uses the same cable for both connectors. Running the GPU through two 8-pin connectors on one cable can cause overheating and damage the connectors. It's better to use separate cables directly from the power supply for optimal performance and safety.

You can't link the GPU connector in that way. It requires two distinct power cables from the PSU. This will cause an overcurrent on the PSU and prevent it from starting.

Remove the GPU and test if the system works. Restart the PC using a screwdriver at the power-on header rather than the case button.

Good morning. I changed the power supply with one I’m familiar with and tried to jumpstart again, but the issue remains: the MB RGB light is on and nothing else works. What do you think? In the meantime, I’ll remove the MB drive and see if it boots.
