This computer won't start up with Windows 11, is that right?
I'm stuck here. I've checked everything—TPM, secure boot, and more. But every time I try to finish the install, it stops right before getting started. What am I missing? Is there a setting in UEFI that needs changing? My setup: Asus Prime B450M-A II (new), Ryzen 5 5600G (new), two sticks of Team VulcanZ DDR4 running at 3600MHz, a 650W Antec PSU, Windows 11 Pro. I used the latest Microsoft Media Creation Tool to get this UEFI factory default settings with fTPM 2.0 installed. This is my second nearly identical build as the first one, which had the same B450M-A (ver I) and Ryzen 5 4600G. That first computer worked fine with Windows 11 Pro without any issues.
It might just be a mistake. Go back to the start and rebuild everything from scratch, then try all that again.
Is this error or message when it stops? Have you tried something like a Linux USB on the option to try (instead of install) just to check if it's a hardware problem? Also, could you try installing W10 and see if it finishes, then run an update to see what the OS throws back at you?
I might try installing Windows 10 like you said. Thanks for your suggestion. The board came with an old UEFI, so I thought that was the problem. After flashing the latest UEFI when things failed, the results were exactly the same as before with the old one. If the installation fails too, could it be a hardware issue?
Win 10 installation is going well right now. Starting the process of installing it.
