Some online communities used to refer to this as the "socket temp" or mainboard CPU temperature. Because VRMs can manage temperatures over 100°C, your board shouldn't be affected by unmonitored heat. Reducing sensor count helps cut costs. HWMonitor isn't very precise, so verify readings with different software. If you're concerned about VRM temps, adding a small fan should be sufficient.
