No, I haven't tried connecting your computer via Ethernet.

I couldn't get the connection because of the room setup, though I know I can reach the other modem consistently.

It's possible the router you're using is failing or overheating, which could cause Wi-Fi interruptions. If you're able to connect to another router, the issue likely lies with your ISP rather than your service. If the ISP confirms your connection works, they’re responsible only for the initial connection to your home network—not the modem or router itself. They may replace the faulty device and charge a service fee if they determine it wasn’t their equipment at fault.

how old is your router/modem? I once moved into a flat with an old ISP provided router & modem. ISP customer service said it was fine, prob to get a count on his KPIs.

They consistently claim the connection works well from their side. I think I should check if I can replace my router. Appreciate the advice!

It's just a short time since I arrived. I moved in at the beginning of the year and they provided a fresh address for my service. It's the usual one they send to everyone. Nothing unique about it.

The router likely uses an Intel-based chipset, which means its model probably includes Intel processors. If issues arise due to faulty chips, Intel may be the manufacturer responsible.
