There seems to be a problem setting up Windows 11.
My friend received a pre-built system and is currently staying in a hotel while working in another state. After the PC arrived, he tried to turn it on and begin the Windows 11 setup. It refused to connect to the hotel's Wi-Fi for some reason, so he bypassed it to the desktop. Now, when attempting to connect to the hotel Wi-Fi, he is prompted to accept the terms and conditions, but he cannot locate them to do so.
What is the make and model of this item? Could the terms and conditions apply to the hotel as well?
It's a CLX pre built. He just received it this Thursday. It seems like that could be the problem. He mentioned he encountered the pop-up on his phone and was able to connect, but there was no window on the PC to accept the terms and conditions for connecting to Wi-Fi. What would be the best choice from there, using a hotspot?
hot spot might work
I think your friend probably connected the wifi antenna to the PC, which could explain why no alert appeared.
Alternatively, he may want to contact hotel staff or wait until he returns home.
He's connecting to the wifi through the motherboard. He's having trouble seeing the hotels wifi page and mentioned he doesn't have a hotspot on his phone for some reason. Are there any ways to try forcing the hotel page to show up? Since he'll be staying at the hotel for the next two years, going home isn't an option right now.
