You're experiencing problems with Avast despite it claiming to have resolved the issue. The browser seems stable, but Avast continues to flag two viruses as ongoing concerns.

That’s unusual, wasn’t it? I got the N64 emulator from the same source you used before—just wanted to relive Mario 64. No virus appeared; instead, when I opened Firefox, Trovi was my search engine, not Google. It took around ten minutes to regain everything as it was before. Quite odd that we both downloaded the same file but ended up with different results, huh?

Verify if adware is present by reviewing your program management list for Browsefox and deleting it. Also, inspect your Firefox extensions for Browsefox and remove any found items. Use Malwarebytes followed by HitmanPro 3 to attempt further cleanup.

No Browsefox extension is available. Only standard features are present in Firefox add-ons.

It appears the problem has been fixed using multiple anti-malware tools and antivirus programs. Avast indicates my home network isn’t secure yet, so I’ll need to fix that.

On my computer, the message appeared identical, yet during a home network scan using Avast on another machine, it indicated a safe connection.

Your connection uses a router and there are no additional ports set up. Beyond that, the main risk comes from people inside your network.
