I installed an N64 emulator from Coolrom.com to play OOT, but a virus appeared. I tried removing the POS and ran Avast and malware detection tools, but the problem persists. I need assistance restoring full control of my PC.

Run HitmanPro in safe mode to resolve your performance issues. This should quickly improve your gameplay experience.

I didn't until today but the stuff is magical, removed like 300 infectious programs from the computer I'm fixing and it's actually improving. Here's a link to it.

I attempted it but it didn’t work. The antivirus keeps showing up every few seconds, reminding me the same virus persists. It looks like a full Windows reinstall might be the best solution. Thanks for trying!

I think I'll shut down my PC tonight and switch to my Moto G, then tackle the issue tomorrow.

That virus is likely a malicious program. Please share the screenshot of Avast or the message so I can help identify it.
