So when I click on the search bar nothing comes up, like literally you can't see anything. This is a big issue for me 'cuz I rely on my search bar quite a lot. I've tried the usual fixes, rebooting, restarting cortana in the task manager, tried troubleshooting, tried updating my nvidia drivers, updating windows, scanning the files with cmd etc. and nothing has worked. I'll just post a picture let the picture speak for itself:
It's a recognized problem; you'll need to wait for Microsoft to resolve it. https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-s...ch-results
Clicked the link, appears the problem is with Bing. I'll attempt to resolve it and check the outcome.
You can preserve the regedit keys before making adjustments. This way, if issues arise, you can revert to the original keys (unless you make a serious mistake and Windows won’t start, even in safe mode)
When you say it's not working, it might be right after you powered on your PC and the hard drive is just loading. If this happened before and caused issues, system files could be damaged from a failed update. You can attempt to restore by manually rolling back the update and retrying. This worked for my machine with a similar UI issue—my problem was the notifications screen not opening.
You can also run a chkdsk scan via Command Prompt to check for disk errors, or perform an SFC scan. This process may require several scans until it resolves the problem. If the issue is related to UI files, you should be fine.
