Hey everyone! I was hoping if any UPS Master's/Engineers/Supports here I just want an opinion on your end on why this is happening since the UPS are quite new and they are encountering this kind of issue. We want some insights on why and how this is happening since we already reached out to the Building support in our location and to let them check the outlets to verify if the issue is in the outlets but as per their report the outlets were good. Maybe you can shed some light(issues on the UPS) on this matter.

#What devices are attached to the UPS prior to the issue of the UPS?
- ThinkCentre M93p(i5 4th gen) Lenovo System Unit, Acer Mouse & Keyboard, Acer Monitor(24 inch) and a Jabra Headset.
#Where is the UPS connected? Is it plugged directly to the wall power outlet, extension cord, AVR, etc..?
- Plugged in directly to the wall outlet.
#What Troubleshooting steps have you done so far? Can you share the said basic steps?
- We tried the UPS again with the same load as during the blackout and unplugged in after and saw that the UPS handled the load. But during the blackout it did not.
The "blackout" may have not been a instantaneous event. The UPS may have been compensating for low (or high) voltage for some time prior to the complete loss of power. The other question would be "for how long"? The UPS may support your PC for a few seconds or a min before shutting down.
That is a pretty basic UPS. It only has LEDs for status. Have you looked at the user's manual to see if the LEDs provide any insight --

It seems the UPS relies on a typical 9ah battery, though I'm not entirely certain because there are several similar models. The prices for these batteries are around $20. It's interesting that you can disconnect it from the wall and it functions properly, but it stops working during actual power outages.
Right? I reached out to APC Support for that, but they haven't replied for almost a week now, which is really frustrating. That's why I'm checking different forums to get some advice for my boss, hehe.

On page 2 under Features, it lists Labeled 'E' which indicates Battery Backup and Surge protected outlets. However, during a previous test, I connected the monitor to those 'E' outlets and the system unit connected to them worked perfectly. I'm still a bit puzzled.
The battery needs to be simple—it mainly depends on choosing the right physical dimensions. The ones I noticed were likely the standard UPS battery models. When checking, look for terminals labeled T1 or T2. I believe it uses 9Ah batteries, but if you can find 10Ah ones with the same size, it will extend runtime slightly. Now, if the battery isn’t working, there might be a serious problem with the UPS itself. Warranties for these units are almost meaningless. Most businesses charge a significant shipping fee, and there are extra costs for adding batteries.
I have no way to locate 10ah batteries there, sir. But if we have to go to RMA, that would be our final option. I'm reaching out because we need to explain to our manager why this is happening—it's still early, and it's behaving oddly. I'm collecting various perspectives from others, by the way. Thanks brother!
