Remove the installer, power on the system as though starting the standard operating system, and enter the BIOS settings. Is that possible?

Sure, I can try that. Just remove the optical drive and the hard drive, then power on the laptop. If it shows the error message about no bootable devices, press F1 or similar to enter BIOS.
