Windows 8.1 and 10 are more efficient in terms of resources. Vista performs better than both, but it tends to run poorly on HDDs.

Personally, it hasn't been this way since 8 dropped out. But one of my nephews had it, and this summer we replaced it with 7 for him. Performance really improved. I wonder what worked so well. Back then, I was the only tech guy in my crew who had a consistent setup of ME... OS.

Windows 7 and Windows 10 have memory issues, and some drivers for mice or other items aren't updated yet. Also, two Steam games would work on 10, but the rest would crash or malfunction. Thanks MS.
