The TF2 community isn't great.
The TF2 community isn't great.
I remember relying on the Croc-O-Style kit after acquiring the game in mid to late 2010, purchasing the full 8-pack. It improved my aiming precision and protected me well from opponents who relied solely on quick headshots or aimbots. I could focus on delivering chest hits, and even if they missed, they’d have to retreat to resupply to regain health and remove the Jarate, which kept them off my team’s path as we navigated the map. It was genuinely enjoyable and effective, especially in Sniper V, during 2Fort and 2Fort Classic (TFC 2Fort) matches—particularly on US servers. The extra health and safety from a single headshot (or multiple with medics/dispensers) really boosted my chest-caving drills. I was dealing with 300-500ms pings while staying sharp.
Tf2 is now just about cute Pugs, silly matches, and nothing else really matters
Take control of yourself. The game isn't made to cater to what others expect you to play. If they're aiming to be a sniper, that's fine—they can do it. They're not weak for not following your rules; they just refuse to play by them. Collaboration can still work regardless of the class they choose. Now I think the community is failing for other reasons, such as their endless complaints and simplistic jokes, not because they enjoy playing the game in their own way.
