The TF2 community isn't great.
I've been enjoying this game for roughly the same time I set up my PC—about four months ago. Initially, I really liked it, but soon realized that despite its quality, the community is pretty poor. Most players focus on being a sniper or scout, even if they’re not great at aiming and keep missing. I usually play sniper and often get accused of "hacking," just like others. Many newcomers use basic computers and consoles, expecting hit-and-run gameplay with automatic weapons that deal heavy damage without much skill. They don’t grasp the importance of teamwork in TF2. Plus, adding screamers, tryhards, and bigotry paints a clear picture: if it works on a low-end setup or even an old PC, the community is terrible.
It’s mainly because of that one-person experience in Battlefield 4, which is why I often play solo.
The TF2 scene vanished just as the game shifted to a free-to-play model.
I recall the release of BF3. I stayed engaged in the class where you can drop ammo and use C4, setting traps for enemy tanks. When an admin attempted to use a tank, I would ultimately eliminate them. Often, I partnered with a friend to swap positions at the enemy base and steal their attack helicopters. It’s quite satisfying to do these things, as they often cause some people to get upset.
