The temperature is 255 degrees Celsius. Could there be an issue with your sensor?
Hi, Recently built a system with used components and encountered an issue with my CPU diode temps. Running my CPU under load it apparently hits 255 deg. celsius, which I understand isn't really happening or my rig would melt down at best, but clearly there's an issue there. Ran an AIDA64 stress test and under load my temps hit 255, then the clocks drop to 1600 Mhz, temp drops to about 100s, then frequency goes back to 4 ghz and temp again spikes to 255 deg celsius. I am running an MSI 760GM-23P motherboard with FX-8350 Cpu, cooler is Deepcool Gammaxx GT. Did some digging and on a couple sites found out it could be a manufacturing issue, where this board can't provide the necessary power to the CPU or something like that?. Was wondering if there might be a fix for this particular issue or maybe my sensor is broken/I need to replace my mobo? EDIT: I have updated to the latest BIOS Thanks in advance!
I mean it's clearly a wrong reading, you could try updating the bios and check if that helps but it could also be broken sensors.
