Hello
my freshly installed system runs very sluggishly, and every time I restart it requires a minimum of 2 to 4 minutes. Even when the PC goes to sleep, it doesn’t react to mouse or keyboard input—only when power is restored does it wake up.

before addressing potential hardware problems, confirm that the motherboard BIOS and any accessible firmware are current via MSI product support sites, rather than relying on an auto-update function within the installed MSI control software.

I needed to refresh the bios to ensure everything is current. My ram is xmp, though I'm not sure if that's affecting it. The yellow light on the motherboard stays on during startup until later. It's set to 6000mhz.

the manual explains that the yellow light indicates a warning or error related to something specific on the system.

Dram. The mainboard illumination changes from red to yellow during startup, then disappears after the PC starts, though the boot process remains quite slow.

The task manager/startup displays the BIOS time, which indicates the system's clock based on the hardware specifications.

65 seconds. I have important P5 installed on the boot drive. Also, it doesn’t wake up from sleep, and when I start downloading and leave the PC, it sometimes shuts down or goes to sleep before the download finishes—shouldn’t it allow things to complete in the background?

Consider checking the bios for alternatives that aren't required. Maybe an extended RAM test could be useful.

I'll take a glance but made no alterations other than setting the xmp profile to 1, which adjusts my RAM speed.

Turn on memory contest restore and power down settings. When they’re set to auto, the BIOS might miss this and waste time adjusting. Updates for Agesa are ongoing efforts.
