I've observed a slow download speed from my Steam account over the past week, as shown in the screenshot. My typical internet speed is between 70-100mbps and it never drops below that. I've tried basic troubleshooting—restarting the modem, PC, network adapter, clearing Steam's cache files, and even removing the cache file from the system. Still nothing works. I'm using my motherboard's built-in WiFi. Here are my PC specifications: Ryzen 5 5500 Gigabyte A520M Ds3h-Ac x2 8gb 3200Mhz RAM, Gigabyte Radeon Rx 6600 Corsair CX550 550w, one Lexar 1tb NVME drive (Windows installed), one WD 1tb HDD, and a Kinston 240gb SSD. I'm running Windows 11 (unactivated).

Navigate to Device Manager. Locate the Realtek driver under Network Adapters. Click Uninstall Device. Pick "Attempt to remove the driver for this device." Restart your PC and the driver should reinstall itself.

Avoid issues in your local network. Choose another download area in Steam’s preferences, specifically in Download settings. If the servers are busy or there are problems with your ISP, that might be the cause.

Streaming from Steam demands significant processing power. When this occurs, open Task Manager to check if your CPU or disk is at full capacity. This is particularly important when using high-resolution settings.

Make sure it assists, then verify another driver is accessible. Right-click and select "Update Driver." Navigate to your computer to find available drivers. Pick one from the options and restart. Retest.

Did you possibly adjust your download speed on Steam and missed the reset? I’d also consider checking that setting, because I’ve faced a similar problem once and thought I was making a mistake.

Current status: nothing is at its peak. Here’s a screenshot of my task manager during the update for *Sky: Children of the Light*.

No problem, I'm not restricted by any speed limits.
