Could this be related to a driver problem? It seems to surge right before the download begins. However, the disk isn’t throttling in Task Manager, and the NVMe drive appears fine after a recent scan. The drive itself is only a year old.

Yes, I understand you're referring to the driver as your storage. However, I tried all other network drivers too. I removed each one and restarted the PC, but the problem continues.

The modem is on the lower floor while my PC is upstairs, and I don’t have a long LAN cable available.

I looked at the down detector location and noticed others are having the same issue with the same internet service. Might it be my provider?

I relocated my PC downstairs into the living room and linked it via LAN cable to my modem. Currently I’m getting 200 Mbps, yet streaming speeds remain extremely slow. Even in EpicGames, a game download halts at around 1 Mbps. It’s been this way for about a week now.

I relocated my PC downstairs into the living room and linked it via LAN cable to my modem. Currently I’m getting 200 Mbps, yet streaming speeds remain extremely slow. Even in EpicGames, a game download halts at around 1 Mbps. It’s been this way for about a week now.
