I assume you're referring to the 3tb+ utility... https://www.gigabyte.com/FileUpload/us/M...6/3tb.html This is intended for unusual scenarios like booting from a drive larger than 2TB without UEFI support. For example, trying to start an old OS such as Windows XP or 7 in Legacy/MBR mode. If you're running a modern OS in EFI mode, it's fine and shouldn't be used.
Thank you, but the boot issue started only with an SSD since then. The motherboard never recognized any of my 4TB drive. The price for the LSI card is double what I paid for the MSI board I ordered. My GTX 1060 cover isn’t used, but both PCIe slots are available, so I can’t install the LSI card anyway.
