I recognize that the original cable is designed to maximize the display's performance when connected properly. However, repeatedly pluging in or removing it might affect its compatibility with all port connections. Choosing a reliable cable can help eliminate this problem.
The DP port supports 360hz, while HDMI operates at 144hz. The HDCP versions indicate adherence to established standards.
I get it, I’ll try to get a better cable soon but for now I’ve done some research. It looks like the issue is related to NVIDIA Control Panel settings—specifically, the "Perform scaling on" option is missing when using DSC mode with a monitor. Since my cable is 1.4, it’s using DSC to reach 360Hz. I think this might be connected to the missing resolutions and custom resolution problems as well.
Once you receive an upgraded cable, kindly inform us if the situation has become better.
