i upgraded from a 2080 ti to a 5080 today. i’m using an alienware 2725df 360hz 1440p oled display.
on my 2080ti i had all the standard resolutions but after switching to the 5080 i only get a few options.
could you also mention that in the past for custom resolutions to show in games i set them up on a second monitor (2304x1440) but now it doesn’t work either?
i’ve tried an older driver and it didn’t help, and the only choice left is to use display as the scaling mode.

these are the resolutions i currently have but as you can see i’m missing things like 1280x960 and 1920x1440 for stretched displays.

i’m really struggling with different fixes but nothing seems to work—it feels like the 5080 doesn’t support anything at all, and if that’s true i might consider returning it.
The display port and the cable are identical to the one I used previously—it was a Dell cable that came with the monitor. I believe I have the drivers installed, but when I tried accessing Device Manager and updating them, nothing appeared.
Visit the Dell website to download the drivers. Once installed, restart your device and check for any updates.
Install the drivers, as recommended. Also, think about switching to a better DP cable. The ones that come with displays tend to be average at best.
yeah, I installed the drivers and firmware update, but it didn’t make a difference. It kept randomly picking between 240hz and 360hz. The 2080 Ti worked fine except for the custom RES on the main monitor, which was resolved by making them on the second monitor—they would appear in-game either way.
The specified cable is a DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.4 connection, measuring 1.80 meters in length.
