You're dealing with a Power Color Hellhound RX 6600 that recently lost its power limit. It seems the limit changed from 120W to 110W, and now it's applying a +20% boost. The issue might be related to the afterburner settings or driver behavior. Checking the MSI documentation for the RX 6600 could provide more insight.

Utilize MorePowerTool for enhanced performance. This issue persists even after several restarts.

To resolve this, I noticed that after rebooting, the system resets MSI afterburner configurations to defaults. Each time I had to manually save the settings before starting, even though they were set to load automatically.

I confirmed the steps I needed to take for MPT, as I’m not familiar with it. I opted for MSI instead of making any changes there.

Absolutely, Adrenalin does that. You can postpone MSI Afterburner at startup or store the Afterburner configuration in a profile and assign a hotkey to load it instantly.

Yeah, it's a bit stupid. Only if there was a way to just install the drivers and not the software. But oh well, I'll mark this as solution.

You may add just the driver.

It's common to see devices capped at 120W even though their TDP is higher, like 132W. Many recommendations exist for this reason.

I don't have experience with MPT either, as I only own an Nvidia 980 Ti. What I understand is that you should extract your card's BIOS, input it into MPT, tweak the settings as needed, and it will generate a SoftPowerPlayTable without requiring a BIOS flash. It seems quite simple. https://www.igorslab.de/en/radeon-rx-560...-tutorial/ You also mentioned checking the 6600 HellHound bios from TechPowerUp with MPT; the power limit appears to be 100w.

It seems the system has a maximum power allowance of +20%, but here you're proceeding. The details might be simple, yet I'm unsure what these terms mean or how they function. Navi 23.rom
