It seems similar to your concern but I experienced problems with my keyboard freezing or disconnecting and reconnecting. The issue was linked to the USB hub, especially when my Apple Watch got notifications. I resolved it by switching the USB hub.

I’m uncertain, but I’ve connected it straight to the motherboard (I also attempted the pass-through on my keyboard) for some reason it’s the only device that works. I’ve tested it with just the plug and moved it to every USB port on the board. I even used a female to male USB extender so the dongle was right next to my hand. The same problem keeps happening.
I’ve also used isopropyl alcohol as much as possible in case it was just a dirty laser. Nothing changed.
