The non-locking side comes first. With a proper board, this setup works well.
Clicks are triggered by latches... when your slots only allow one position, a single press will insert the card. Press both sides firmly and straight down to lock the slot—you should hear the click. Certain slots won’t click at all. Some lack a latch on the side with the video card port since the card length might obstruct the latch or block insertion.
