Hello!

I’ve consistently enjoyed Rainbow Six Siege, with generally excellent performance and fluid gameplay. However, two days ago, I suddenly encountered severe stuttering that renders the game unplayable. I’ve spent two days attempting to resolve this issue without success. It appears isolated to Rainbow Six Siege alone. The day before these problems began, I was playing the game without any issues, and the following morning, the stuttering commenced.

My system specifications are:
Intel i3 8350k
MSI GTX 1060
Crucial 8GB DDR4
Gigabyte Z370 HD3

Does anyone have insight into why this is occurring? I’ve also observed that Rainbow Six Siege attempts to utilize a significant portion of my CPU – approximately 100%, though I’m unsure if this was a factor prior to these problems. Interestingly, all my friends are experiencing the same issue, but without the stuttering phenomenon.

Inspect your files using the application’s interface, conduct a virus scan, and confirm whether there were any recent updates.

No new version of Rainbow Six Siege has been released. I attempted reinstalling the game and also moved it to my solid-state drive, but the problem persists. I’ve checked for malware and found none, and I also disabled full screen optimization through the game's properties/compatibility settings – this provided a minor improvement, but it’s still not performing as expected.

It appears that R6 is reportedly not enthusiastic about Intel processors.

Stop! Experiment by setting your frames per second limit to 60 and playing for a period; if you continue to experience pauses, decrease the limit to 30 fps. If this resolves the stuttering, gradually increase the frame rate until you find a satisfactory level. Additionally, enable G-Sync if your display supports it – I found this beneficial while playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

The system functioned without issue for a considerable period. However, adjusting V-sync results in a significantly unpleasant experience due to noticeable input lag.

I comprehend that, but please attempt it. This will assist in pinpointing the problem to three elements: processor, graphics card, and display.

I apologize for the delay, but it seems to be a challenge I’m struggling with. I feel somewhat guilty about taking up your time.
