So I started with a new 3600MHz processor and had a B450 when I turned on XMP. It completely broke my PC and the second RAM stick failed. I returned the RAM, got new sticks, and a new motherboard (TUF B550M plus Wi-Fi). After turning it on, the RAM was running at 2666 MHz. I was confused then, so my friend suggested just turning on DOCP because it said a profile was saved in the RAM itself, so it should run at its advertised speed. I restarted three times, and on the fourth try it turned on automatically with fans running, RGB lighting, GPU active, and no post. The KVM was also off. It worked fine after I turned it off. Someone could help me, and I really don’t want to brick the RAM again—especially since I’m 100% sure the seller will be upset.

rams are placed in A2 b2. I used a 3600mhz pc but it doesn’t boot. I tried a 3200mhz one, which booted after some frustrating restarts (I wasn’t posting). When it finally started at 3200mt/s, it stayed running for 20 seconds before showing a blue/black screen saying “your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart.”
The PC is brand new and hand-built, I haven’t updated the BIOS. I’m considering it’s a CPU problem since it can’t handle 3600MHz, and I’m thinking about switching to a 7 5700X. Also, the reason I have a 5600G is because I didn’t use a GPU before—I recently upgraded with an AI/GPU/RAM/MBOO setup.
never encountered magma dims - can you turn off the mains power and check the label? What about any part numbers? DDR 4 OEMs are typically from G.Skill, Corsair, Adata, TeamGroup, Patriot, Kingston, etc. PSU tier list only shows one AIGO on it - VK tier F with poor voltage drops compared to ATX specs. It seems like a Frankenbuild. The CPU, motherboard, GPU, and Kingston drive appear to be standard consumer parts. The other drive, Hiksemi, is unfamiliar. Right away, unstable RAM could cause issues. Tier F PSUs usually deliver high ripple power, which feels like being zapped by an electric fence every few seconds. Any power irregularity might damage everything.
Unfortunately, I live in a third-world country and magma is a Spanish brand if I'm not mistaken because the audio is Spanish and the RAM model is as well, also it's a very reliable brand here in Algeria, ranking first among others.
by the way, I haven't updated the bios before; i was nervous because in a third-world country, the electricity can change at any moment, and I don't want to spend another mobile.
make sure you check its specifications, set it to default without XMP and view them using hwinfo. Running it outside of spec will cause it to crash no matter the brand. Tier F PSU can behave like bad flash, resetting your motherboard. Either way, it's a disaster.
