I checked the PSU you linked. After testing it with GPU swaps and running Cinebench and God of War, the same problem persists. Should I recommend replacing the PSU or the CPU—possibly just the PSU? Thanks a lot, Renzov.
I believe @mapegl suggested connecting your PCIE cable to a different PCIe slot on your power supply unit. Think of swapping the cable from the PCIe1 port to the PCIe2 port if you're using the PSU. Just make sure you don't have both connections active at the same time, as it might affect your GPU's PCIe usage.
I adjusted the OC settings in BIOS and the problem remains unchanged. Here’s what HWiNFO displays after about 10 minutes of Cinebench run. Also, note that before yesterday I ran my R5 2600 at 4.1 GHz stable across all cores for three years on the same MOBO.
Well, could be the motherboard VRM isn't able to provide enough amps for the CPU. Like @Makaroni and @mapegl mentioned above. Look at AM4 , Tier D for your motherboard. Again, not sure. If 5900x really eats 130w, then by my knowledge, 130w / 12v = 10,8amps, 12 cores x 10 amps = 130 amps. If you can still RMA your CPU, then I'd say go ahead and RMA, if the new CPU having problem too, then you'll know its not the cause. It's the best way to save money that I can think of right now. Atleast you don't end up buying stuffs that you don't need/want.
Discuss the game and its impact on frame rates. If the CPU handles stress tests smoothly, it suggests a software or configuration issue rather than hardware failure. The PSU's performance isn't monitored by the system, so voltage drops won't be reflected until power is cut abruptly. The rating applies to the entire CPU, not just based on core count. Core voltage typically stays between 1.5 and 1.2V for Ryzen under full load, not 12V.

Thanks @Jurrunio. It seems a bit silly on my end, but I’ve noticed odd behavior from faulty PSUs, so I haven’t completely ruled it out. I’m still puzzled because the setup looks like it has enough power for the CPU, yet when the GPU ramps up it pulls away from the CPU. I’ve checked forums and found others with the same board and CPU are functioning normally. So the idea that the VRM is weak doesn’t seem valid. It’s also officially backed by Asus, which suggests at least the stock version should work. Those configurations had 6800s too, so... likely either the CPU or motherboard is defective, and I’d lean toward the CPU. Consider sending a return request and retrying. One more thing: try running Prime or Cinebench, then add FurMark. Just monitor how the CPU and GPU behave during that.
