Yeah, I gave up too. I'm just assuming it's my ten-year-old hard drive, the bottleneck CPU, and the motherboard. Thanks for the help!

I had a comparable experience too. It didn't seem critical, but things got better after upgrading the CPU and motherboard. Good luck!
