Check if the power cable is connected. SATA drives have two connectors. If you’re using a notebook, the drive usually needs to be pushed firmly into place. Ensure the drive is fully inserted laterally before securing it with a screw and closing the bay. Reopen your PC and verify that no other cables have been accidentally disconnected, or that any small plastic connectors inside haven’t been damaged during drive removal—the drive should have been removed without force, typically with only a single screw.

Examine all power connections, including the motherboard power cord, CPU power cord, and rear case power cord. It’s possible one was unintentionally disconnected. I've replaced hard drives with the computer running without issue, though it may be purely coincidental, or you might have inadvertently dislodged a connection.

Check if any devices are connected to your USB ports. Remove all external USB attachments and test for power. Disconnect your graphics card and check for power. Attempt to eliminate potential hardware issues by removing all new RAM and testing with a known working stick, then progressing to the new memory. If possible, try a different power supply unit. Finally, remove and reseat your CPU.

I have attempted numerous methods to utilize a test PC and the components from it for diagnostic purposes, but none were successful.
