I recently acquired a laptop hard drive and was installing it while attempting to transfer data. The computer unexpectedly powered on during the installation process, resulting in an immediate shutdown and subsequent failure to operate. The keyboard functions only when the PCIe GPU connector is disconnected.
Attempts to resolve the issue include resetting the CMOS three times and a lack of motherboard speaker preventing POST detection.
