The PC may suddenly restart occasionally, even without BSODs.
Hi! It's been a while since I last updated here, but I'm trying my best to clarify things!
Over the past time, my PC has restarted occasionally without any alerts or crashes.
I've attempted these actions without success:
1. Checked for overheating.
2. Verified driver updates.
3. Performed virus, malware, and adware scans.
4. Ran a memory diagnostic tool.
5. Replaced RAM or moved it to another slot.
6. Turned off automatic restart.
7. Updated the BIOS.
My system specs are:
-Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi
-Ryzen 9 5950X (not overclocked)
-EVGA RTX 3070 Ti FTW3
-EVGA Supernova G6 650W fully modular
-Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB @2933
-Corsair H115i Elite RGB
-Crucial SSD 4TB
-Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB
-Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB
-Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB
I'm unsure what else to try.
🙁
I'll attach the final event viewer log and some additional screenshots. If anyone can help, it would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I'm not really sure about the age of the PSU, but it's probably around two years. Unfortunately, I can't borrow another one to test it right now. I'll have to save up enough money to get a replacement later.
Obtain a trustworthy power supply unit featuring a durable warranty spanning 7 to 12 years. Such an extended guarantee reflects the manufacturer's assurance in their product and indicates a higher standard of quality.
Certainly. If you're in the USA, these are among the most affordable options with solid performance.
A couple from Canadian stores shared their experiences:
Super Flower Leadex III Gold UP 850 W
be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750 W
It seems unclear if upgrading your power supply unit will solve the problem. It's still uncertain whether the PSU in your system is the cause. Typically, sudden shutdowns point to the PSU as the likely culprit. Are you experiencing frequent restarts or shutdowns? If you're facing only random power interruptions, replacing the PSU could help eliminate the current issue or confirm it as the root cause.
